|
|
Rockpooling - a fun way to learn the amazing adaptations of marine creatures and seaweeds to their habitat (KS 2 science). |
|
|
Walking across Braunton Burrows (so unique UNESCO has designated it an International Biosphere Reserve) gives students a chance to explore the nature of sand dunes whilst appreciating the need to conserve such areas. |

A popular KS 2/3 Geography option is to study the River Lyn from one of its sources down to Lynmouth. Students predict what measurements will alter downstream and investigate their ideas by taking measurements such as velocity. Stories of the famous flood of 1952 are recounted in Lynmouth. |

A favourite
evening activity is the Treasure
Hunt on the final night when students explore Hallsannery's grounds
solving riddles such as this one:
Down the drive a pine fallen
victim, An attack of wind that finally licked him.
This clue
should not stump you if you are awake,
Look in, on or under your
paper to take.
